Pizza Glyph Reflection...
I thought this was a great activity especially to use at the beginning of the year to get to know one another. Specifically for primary students who like to share everything, this would be a great way to simplify and condense their interests (or stories). For example, if you went on a vacation over the summer, put a star on your pizza. If you went to the beach, make the star blue.
I could also use this to discover students' reading interests. Each shape or object could be a different genre. For example, if you like mystery books, put a orange circle on your pizza. Another idea would for the glyph activity could also be used to discover abilities in different subjects. For example, if you understand what photosynthesis means, put a green square on your pizza.
